Pads and action feel good, and the pads seal, but it may need some minor adjustment for optimal play, though it should play out of the box. There are some signs of play, such as minor wear on the keys and surface nicks(see pics) but this clarinet has never been abused. There are no cracks that I can see, open or repaired, in the body. This magnificent machine produces low rumbling sounds that will rattle your roof, but at the same time sound so sweet that all the world will stop to listen. Additional pictures available upon request. The horn has amazing sound, top to bottom, and is a dependable instrument for any concert or orchestra player. Vandoren Optimum ligature and Selmer flat glass reed case. It sits in the case very close to a screw on the bottom joint and was scratched early on(potentially before I bought it) It has since been noted and very carefully removed and replaced in its case. The only scratch on the silver plated keys is on the Ab/G# key. This horn has the original"saxophone angle" neck. Never been had any cracks reparied or otherwise. Wood is beautiful and crack free matching serial number P00563. This is a one owner clarinet and has been meticulously maintained. more excellent condition and surrounded by a custom.
